R29 UNBOTHERED!
I made a thing while at Refinery29. More than that: I built a community. I was the strategic force behind Unbothered, Refinery29’s space for Black millennial women. It was (and still is) their fastest growing channel!
Unbothered started as a small idea among a group of Black women—and after a year of meetings, copy writing, research, and pitches to executives it became a reality.
@R29Unbothered continues to thrive on Instagram—and now as a newsletter and podcast, too—thanks to the dedication, tenacity, and creativity of Black women at R29.
While I may never meet them or truly know them beyond their IG personas, we are bound together by Unbothered—and I love that.
